Linking a table to a 3GB text file?

I'm trying to link a table to a massive 3GB text file so that I can generate a report. The text file is an exported Access query, so I can analyze the data in query form, BUT I'd like to analyze as a text file to confirm that nothing is altered during the export process. (e.g. Sometimes rounding errors can alter data, etc.)

Unfortunately, I'm getting an error saying that the text file is too big. Are there any work-arounds for this?

Access has a 2GB size limit so how did the 3GB text file get created?

    Options:

Break up the text file and use multiple Access databases. Don't know if will be able to generate one report with the linked tables.

    Or

Move into some other database application (Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer, etc).
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Something is bothering me about the concept.

You're trying to use Access to determine if Access is making mistakes. Okay, that's not unreasonable.

But, performing 100% validation on a 3 gig export file is... odd. It would seem like you'd start with statistical validation of a cross section of the output, to catch all the obvious types of errors. Only after you'd nailed down the big / consistent errors would you try to go after the small stuff.
