show record lines when printing report?

    hello,

i have a regular report where sometimes has one record or many records.

my boss is asking for something weird:
when i print a report with one record i only have the printed reported showing the record line and after that line the page is completely white or blank. so he wants to print a report with one or few records line and show the rest of the white page as empty records.

i attached a photo showing what i mean.

    so any ideas ??

You might be surprised how not so weird this is.

It is possible but requires some tricky VBA code.

One approach is to actually add blank records in table. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Using-MS-...ows-report.htm

Another is to 'trick' Access into repeatedly rendering the last record but with font color white to blend into page. http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1695691
This will only work with a report sent direct to printer or PrintPreview. However, if you open it to PrintPreview first will have to close then send direct to printer if want printout.
I have done this and it was a challenge because of my report design. Yours looks simpler.

the second link was very helpful and worked on 2 reports but the other 3 reports didn't work, because it also asks for a table with blank records and in the 3 left reports the number of blank records is not stable and is always changing !!!

All I can say is it works for me. But it took a day or so of trial and error on the code to get it. No way I can determine what it is about your structure that causes this to fail.

What do you mean it also asks for a table with blank records? The second method does not involve a table of blank records, the first method does.
