    Unrecognized database format error

I am using access 2010 for some projects in one of my classes. Part of one assignment is creating a table, and using the lookup wizard while in design view. I've done this several times and I've never had any issues, but the other day while working on my assignment, I clicked the drop down menu and clicked Lookup Wizard, and I have started to receive this error:
    "Unrecognized database format 'C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Access\A CWZUSR12.ACCDU"

This happened completely out of nowhere. I know there are other ways to do this besides using the lookup wizard, but it's very inconvenient. I have deleted my access file, created a new one, same thing happens. I did the "office repair" option. I even uninstalled access and then reinstalled the program and the error still continues to pop up.

Any ideas on what caused this or how to fix it? I haven't been able to find any help online.

    Thanks in advance.

Is that ACCDU extension actually what the message shows?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Yes, what I typed is the exact error I keep getting. I am now getting the same error whenever I try to use the input mask function.

Maybe you can make a copy of your DB. With the copy, give it another name and then do a compact and repair. If the name is DataBaseOne.accdb then maybe you could rename it DataBaseTwo.accdb. Check the extension name before you open the copy. It should probably be .accdb

When I googled "ACCDU", I found:

"accdu is Microsoft Access Add-in Data (Microsoft Office Access Blank Project Template)."

"The .ACCDU file is used in Microsoft Office Access 2007 or later as a database wizard file. The Access Database Wizard is used as a quick way to create and modify databases."

    and this link
