    Report ascending wrong field

I have a report with query on ascending for fields TradingAs and the next field PaymentType

however when I open the report from a command button it sorts by a different field, the BookingDate field.

I open the reports record source select query and it is not in ascending or descending on that field however it is only sorting the field by BookingDate - I have not asked it to!

How to I get around this??

The report's sorting must be set up in Grouping and Sorting.

I feel like I've skipped over something while learning access - sorted and so simple. Thanks
