Importing Excel into Access

Help! I'm a novice, please be gentle.

I'm creating a database to record student information for a driving school. I have a basic contact database but would like to record student lessons and payments. Is it possible to record this in Excel and then import into Access so each record only shows the relevant lesson information for the relevant student?

possible? yes. import of excel data into Access is an embedded feature found at 'File' 'Get External Data'

invest in a textbook for the version you have - easily found at Amazon or any large bookstore.

but if you have an Access db it is simpler just to enter the data into the db rather than into excel and do an import....

Well ok, I've already imported the information, I was just wondering whether it's possible to have an excel spreadsheet with all data for every student but only the relevant information shows in each access record... but guess I'll get a book rather than looking online for help...
