Report doesn't show if BOTH subforms don't include data - fixable?

    Hi,

I have an invoice form with two separate sub-forms. Likewise, my report includes 2 separate sub-reports aligned with the subform.

The report however, only generates data and previews those invoices which happen to have data in BOTH the subforms. For example, invoice [5] doesn't show up as a report because i've only inserted bits of data into one of its sub-forms and left the other blank.

Any ideas how to fix this...apart from entering '0' or perhaps some kind of 'null' data into the second subform?

    thanks

There are two different possibilities. One is that the lack of data in the subform/subreport is causing a glitch.

Try putting something in the "nodata" event of the offending subreport. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ffice.11).aspx

I don't see anything similar for a subform. Make sure something (even an empty control) is in the form header.

The second possibility is that your source query for your invoice form has an inner join, explicit or implicit, and therefore it is (obviously) dropping all invoices that are missing one or the other of the types of data. If you check that and can't figure it out, post the query here, and we'll look it over.

Report doesn't show if BOTH subforms don't include data

Can't seem to resolve this one.

I've attached the zipped DB. The report is called rptInvoict. Notice it doesn't show Invoice 5 as it doesn't have an Appointment charge.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
