I'm using a query to export records into an excel file. My first field name is "Assignment#". When I open the excel file, the column heading is now "Assignment." Any thoughts??

Should not use spaces or special characters/punctuation (underscore is exception) in names. Better would be AssignmentNum or AssignmentNo or Assignment_Num.

OK. These field names are imported from another system. I'll keep that in mind while creating a new DB.
