Making data entry more efficient in a form

Hi I have about 10000 rural farmers to enter into a database using a form.

Obviously this is a massive task. Now some of the fields for example village and area, may stay the same for say 200 farmers at a time.

What I would like to implement to make data entry quicker is that the village entered into the previous record is then copied over to the next.

Any suggestions on how to make data entry easier would be much appreciated.
