    Conditional Formatting using "Expression is:"

I have a split form and I would like the sub form (table) to utilize conditional formatting based off of information in another table. Example if the price is not between a min and max range, then the text will be formatted to red.

this is the expression I tried

    [inventory]![min price] > [current_item][price] Or [current_item][price] > [inventory]![max price]

    or put another way:

    [Table]![table field] > [Query][query field] Or [Query][query field] > [Table]![table field]

I know my syntax is off.

    Can someone help?

Can't refer directly to table that way. The fields must be included in the form's RecordSource by table join or use DLookup expressions in textbox to get the values from table. What criteria determines which record the min and max values should be pulled from?
