Sum Query

Here i want to ask i have a table
amt | tax | deduc | Total
12 1.25 3
15 1.25 4

i want to run an update query where i need to take the total of amt, tax, deduc in the total fields,

Please help.

A total of the 3 together or total of amt, tex, dec?
For the three together type into the Field: row in the design view
Total: ([Table].[amt]+[Table].[tax]+[Table].[deduc])
assuming you named your table Table

If you want the sum of each one press the Totals (large sigma) button at the top under Query Tools>Design and select Sum on the Totals row for each one
