    Don't highlight entire column (for all records) in Tabular Form when field is empty

    Hello,

    I need to conditionally highlight a field when it is empty but the check box to the left of it is checked. The problem I am having is that the entire column becomes highlighted, not just the record with the check box checked.

    How to I isolate the record that I want highlighted and leave the other records alone.

    See attached image to see what I want.

    Have you tried Conditional Formatting on the ribbon? You'd want Expression Is.

    Yes I am using conditional formatting, however, I seem to get the entire column highlited instead of just the one field.

    This is what I'm using now: Nz([EmailTK],[EmailTK])=[EmailTK]

    Maybe I need to use and If Then expression with the conditional formatting?

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Your condition is basically testing the field against itself. Try

    [EmailTK] = True

    I actually figured out what I needed.
    Basically I've conditionally highlighted the fields that need to be highlighted in a script attached to the BeforeUpdate event.
    Then I make sure that the fields that should not be highlighted turn white again by using the following conditional formatting:

    Nz([Text44],[Text44])=[Text44]
    ([EMB_OOB])=False

    Thanks for your help

    Linda
