Importing html data - Carriage Return Problem

I am importing html data into Access 2003 using Transfer Text and the Import Wizard and I am experiencing problems with both methods when the length of the text in a field that is imported is great than 50 characters AND there are Carriage Return / Line Feed characters in the text.

The text that is imported is corrupted and the html entity codes for the CR / LF chars are not converted and are left as " ".

The text that I am importing was previously exported from the same Access DB.

The problem occurs on Text fields and Memo fields.

This does not occur on all platforms here in our office. At the moment the problem is only ocurring on our Vista machines and does not occur on our Windows Server 2003 machines.

I have tried doing the export on the Vista machines and the Server 2003 machines and in both cases the data is corrupted when imported on our Vista machines.

I have been searching the web to see if anyone else is having or has had the same problem but can't seem to find any other instances similar to this.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Were you able to resolve it?

This could easily be a problem that only exists with Vista, but I do not know that to be a fact.
