We use forms that have alpha-numeric values we assign to them. I know how to create a parameter query to ask which specific record the user is looking for, but I don't know how to structure a macro to open the specific record in a form. Anybody?

Use code to reference control on form. I don't use macros, only VBA, like:
DoCmd.OpenForm "form name", , , "ID=" & Me.controlname
I know macros have equivalent structure.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
Thanks June7. Does anyone know the equivalent macro structure? I know nothing about using VBA.
Figured in out!! Use OpenRecord macro. Under Filter Name, enter the name of the parameter query. Leave the condition blank. Whooo hoo!!
