compare the negative values with positive

    Hi there,

I am in a conundrum with respect this issue in Access. I am trying to to find a way to show all the positive values with nagative, in order words, if the value is 10,000 is should be followed by corresponding -10,000 so that the user could investigate if the entry is a reversible GL. Any help or alternative solution would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,

?? Not sure of the details, but you might try to sort your records based on Abs(theFieldValue) ?? [absolute value]
This might give you some info and help with how to proceed.

Thanks for the quick reply, Orange. I thought about it but was not sure how to create a condition to say if the amount appears as positive for one entry and negative for another with same GL_ID, Transit to prompt user to investigate.
