    Opening Shared Access File

I have an access database which is located on a shared drive and continuously kept open. In the folder with the .mdb file, there is the lock file .ldb.

Yesterday the company I work for installed Vista from Windwos 2000. Prior to installing Vista, I was able to open the .mdb file by double clicking the file. I was also able to open the file in the same manner after the Vista install up until this morning. The company pushed updates to my pc and this morning, I can no longer double click and open the database. I can make a copy of it and double click the copy to open it and I can open MS Access then select file/open and open the database but when I double click, I get the waiting icon for about a second but the database won't open. I went to another pc which is still using windows 2000 and the database opens fine. I'm not sure if this is a Vista issue or setting on MS Access.

    Any help/comments would be appreciated.

    TIA<
