Erratic? error message - Too complex or typed incorrectly

I have a report that works fine for any dates up till the 14th of this month. Any closing date I use after May 13 returns the "Too complex" error message. The query that the report is based on works fine with any dates. I am completely baffled!

Can we see the SQL for the query?

Have found the problem - one record had a null value in a field required for a calculation. Entering a zero in that field has fixed the problem.
