32 bit Runtime and Access add-ins

When installing my MS Office Pro 2010 to get Access 2010 I failed to see any Access add-ins install options. I now am at the stage that I would like to execute Runtime but its not there to use. So I downloaded 32bit runtime and installed that; it disappeared into the woodwork - I have no idea where/what to search for and how to use it. I looked at on-line help offered by Albert D. Kallal, but his approach seemed to be a reinstall. Is this what I need to do? If so do I do an overlay install or a de-install first? TIA Phil PS will a runtime packaged db run on a iMAC?

Is there a Microsoft "trusted" Site for add-ins? I tried to insert "Microsoft MonthView Control 6.0 (SP4)", an Active X Control from the Form Design Tab and received the message "The OLE Server isn't registered." Is this part of my add-on install problem mentioned above? There must be a list of MS trusted sites that I can add to my Trust Center List. TIA Phil
