    Question Making a Schedule/Timesheet/Programme etc

    Hi,

I've been scratching my head for a while about how to make a schedule in Access.
I have one in excel but it is limited in its ability to 'interact' with data.

My excel version is essentially a time line with several rows represending tasks & jobs. Each task has the initals of the person doing them for each day, as sometimes a task only lasts a few days or the people on it can change.

So far I have made a table with the fields:
    date (Week commencing)
    Task
Monday (list of names - multiple values allowed)
    Tuesday (ditto)
    Wednesday (ditto)
    Thursday (ditto)
    Friday (ditto)
    Saturday (ditto)
    Sunday (ditto)

When displayed as a continuous form it looks like this and I can navigate each week by filtering the Week Commence date:

Size:	30.9 KB
ID:	12237

What I really want to do though is have a way of switching the view so that I can see
a row for each worker (with the jobs thay have that week under each day)
as well as the current view of
a row for each job (with the workers assigned to it under each day)

    Does anyone have any ideas?
Please let me know if it needs more explanation.

    Thanks,
    Cipher_Ultra

This is a common topic in forum.

I am sure is possible but will require a bunch of VBA code.

I Googled: Access work schedule database

Got several hits. See if these give you some ideas:
