Table Number format and decimal place problem

I have created tables with number fields.
Th number field i require should contain two descimals. When I insert a number ie. 2.53 the cell automatically rounds the number to 3.

I have gone through my settings in design view and have tried playing around with the number format on the toolbar. . .no Joy.

Could someone advise me on how to rectify this?

    Thanks in advance.

I am not sure. When I created the table I selected "number" in the data type field. I don't see an option to allow me to set as a double number type.

I managed to figure out how to set the field to a double number.

    Thanks again.
