    Query Wizard question

I have two databases in Access 2007/Windows XP

Database #1 has id, name, address.
Database #2 has id, name, status

    I have tried using the Query design to get the following information;

All users in North Carolina (info from 1st database) with a XYZ status (info from 2nd database)

    Steps taken....
create a query using both databases. Join the user id and names.

Then enter all records in the first column for the 1st database.
On the 2nd column I used the info from the status column and type in XYZ as criteria and hit run.

The only information it returns is the id, name and address headers (no records are pulled into it)

I have tried for hours to figure this out to no avail. Can someone help me? Please!!

your query design should have 2 tables. the one from db1 and one from db2.

the two tables should have a relationship link between them connecting the ID fields.

have all the fields of the db1 table, and just the status field of the db2 table in the query....it should run this way - showing all records...

then just add the xyz criteria in the appropriate field to narrow the results...

    I tried as you suggested.

All records in the first database.
Just the status field in the second database.

the only thing the run query returns is the headers of the first database. No records.

**I can look at both DB and see the matching records - so I know that it should return some records. But I can not get anything.

I am joining the common fields.

I have been working on this for hours. Cannot get it to give me the records that I need. Any other ideas?
