    Changing a Field Format

    Hi,

I have a field which contains Phone 000-0000 I want to display it as (000) 000-0000.

I changed the format in the Table but it is not being updated in the Form.
    Please help?
    Thanks!

Changing format property in tables does not affect controls already created unless you confirmed 'Update format everywhere' in the table. Fix the Format property of the textbox on form.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Could you tell me how to "update format everywhere" in the table and also how to fix the format property of the textbook form. I go into Datasheet view and Design view and can't locate the function to update.

Table in design view, type something in the Format property, should see a box to the left with a lightning bolt. Click and make choice.

Form in design view, select textbox, Format tab of property sheet.
