Error: "unable to import to permanent database" When Importing Data

I am trying to import soil data that I got from USDA. I chose the location where the soil data is contained, but I get the message "unable to import to permanent database" Does anyone know why this is? I have not used Access in years so this might be an easy answer or it might be specific to the type of data/where I got the data.

    I appreciate any help.

What is the file you are importing from?

Not familiar with that error message.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Thanks June7 for your reply. I downloaded the data from here. I was using the instructions from here to import the data into the empty Access template that was downloaded with the other data, ArcGIS shapefiles.

Do you know why this could be happening? Thanks.

I figured out my problem. I have to download something from the website I got the data from, where the actual data is that will be imported from.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
