Exclamation Report Field updates only after Form's refresh. Why?

Hi, In my sales entry form, I gave some discount. It is calculated & shown correctly in Form.
But in the Report It does not show the value. Later I add the coding in vba

    Me.Refresh
DoCmd.OpenReport "SalesBillCustomer", acViewPreview, , tmpFilter, acDialog

First I missed Me.Refresh, It not showing discount value in Report.
But after me.refresh its working fine. Why this?
    Plz clarify me.

Presuming the report is based on the underlying table(s), the values on the form were probably not saved yet.

    Thanks Pbaldy, But still confusing..
    My sales table has
    SaledID
    SDate
    CustomerID
    Discount
    AmountPaid

fields only. The remaining shown in the form are calculated fields. If I agree with you, When I press the Print button, It should not show the current salesID,.....etc. But shows all the current record but the discount field ONLY showing 0. Why?
