Help required to output query in certain format

Hi all



I am new to this forum.
I am practicing access in my office work.

I got new data to make where i am facing difficulty.

I had 2 tables:
Table 1 consists of 2 fields ( unique numbers in this table )
custcode
action_date

Table 2 consists of 2 fields ( multiple entries in this table )
custcode
alert_date

what is required in output is
custcode
action_date
alert_date_1
alert_date_2
alert_date_3


where alert_date is less than action_date
and also
alert_date is closest to action_date

it means alert_date_1 is most closest to action_date
alert_date_2 is 2nd most closest date to action_date.

i tried but no success yet.

Please help how to achieve in access.
