    Datasheet Current Record Background Color

Anyone know how to change that dark blue that (on my system; Access 2010) appears to be the default for the current record in DS view (except for the field where the cursor is)? Googling shows prior interest in this, but I haven't found a definitive answer.

    -Thx, Ron

To hide the gridlines, go to the Home tab, and in the Font group click the arrow next to the Gridlines button, and then click the style that you want to use. In this case, clicking Gridlines: Horizontal shows only the horizontal lines and hides the vertical lines.
It's just as easy to set the background color for alternate rows. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click the arrow next to the Alternate Fill/Back Color button and select a color.

Thx, but I don't follow. There is no font group under the Home tab in datasheet view. In form design, there's a font group under the Format tab, and there's a Themes group under the Design tab, but I don't see anything about gridlines (which I wasn't asking about). At any rate, I accomplished what I wanted by formatting one field and painting the format into the others using the tools in the format tab of Form Design Tools. You can even replicate conditional formatting rules this way. -Ron
