Ok, so now I am looking at the web page you suggested. I am a novice, so I will take it in bits and pieces. I don't believe you mean for me to recreate a navigation page, since that is the purpose of this database. I see a form and nothing else. I am guessing I need to see what is in this database and then copy it to the databases where I wish to use it. Correct me if I am wrong.
Step 1: everything is hidden, what do I do so that I may see the database?
Don't understand.
If you want a navigation form, that link has guidance to create one.
You mean the db from your link? I can't look at it right now because don't have 2010 here.
Try holding down the shift key when the file opens. This will override most project settings and autoexec macro and everything should be available.

Thank you, June7, that opened the database so I could see what is in it. If anyone has every looked at or used this database: http://accessextra.blogspot.com/2010...le-native.html feel free to offer advice. I am thinking that if I figure out how to use it, it will be quite helpful and save me an immense amount of time. Someone created it to help people with the transitition from switchboards to navigation forms. If I could just figure it out or someone else could tell me. I am thinking they would say something like this, but I could be way off base: 1) first you open the database by holding down the shift key while opening. Then you are able to see all objects. 2) Next you, what, I don't know? Next you import all your database into this one, then close and reopen it. 3) When you reopen your database that causes the code to run and it will take all the information from your old switchboards and dump it into the new navigation window. I am not sure if I have to make changes somewhere first. 4) Next you can delete all the old switchboard table and forms, and you are all set to go! Well, I don't really know how it works or what to do, but was hoping for some help. I just wish the person that made it would tell people what to do with it. Could someone please help me? I am an slightly experience newbie and am desperate.
I don't use navigation form. Don't like it and since I have never built web database, not compelled to use.
There have been a number of threads here where posters have issues with referencing the various elements (subforms and controls) placed on the form.

Maybe someone finally figured it out - review https://www.accessforums.net/forms/t...orm-32053.html

I am not poarticular to what method I use, I just can't get any method finished, so I keep trying soemthing else. Thanks, June, maybe someone else will respond that knows if I need to import my database into this already made navigation database. Hopefully someone that is knowledgeable will have time to look at the database and guide me to the next steps.
