    primary keys in four different tables

    hi guyz, sorry, im a newbie in access... can someone help me in resolving this one, i know this one is easy for you guyz... i have four tables with different information about a person, i categorized it into four... on that tables i have a box which all requires the primary key of that person, how can i have same value of the primary key by just entering the key in table 1... tables 2-4 must have an the same key which i have input in table 1... thanks GUYZ!

    Sounds like a one-to-one relationship. Still need to use form/subform(s) arrangement for data entry. The Master/Child links properties of the subform container control will synchronize saving the primary key of the parent table as foreign key in the child table(s).

    i want to create a form with tab controls and the tables 2-4 will appear on that form.

    That will work. I do that. The SourceObject property of subform container control can be a table, query, form, report (but not a report for data editing).

    thank you very much sir for your help, i raelly appreciate it... but i think i must start from the beginning and make a table which covers all the info indicated on all tables... :-(

    Might result in a lot of empty fields which is not full normalization. However, it is a balancing act between normalization and ease of data entry/edit.
