Web Compatibility Issues on a 2007 Database, followed Microsoft's instructions!!

    Hi,

I am designing a database for work, that will track calls and service records, I have followed Microsoft's instructions from there website on how to do the lookups and the database works as a Desktop database, I have sent it to my home PC where I have Access 2010 and run the Web Compatibility Checker and it fails on all of the lookups (there are 31 errors in total) it looks like there are more errors than there actually is, but i cant seem to figure out what the problem is, any assistance would be gratefully received

The database has to be usable in Access 2007 because that is what we all use at work

The errors reported for each of the main problems are

Access was unable to convert the query for use on the Web because it relies on a different query that is not Web compatible.
The definition of the query is invalid, so the query object cannot be created.
Look up row sources must be complete SQL statements that specify one table and fields from that table to be compatible with the Web.

A web app has to be designed in 2010.

I believe that a 2007 desktop front end can link to the back end lists on sharepoint which are also being used by the web app..... but not 100% sure. 2010 has table features that are not supported in 2007...

desktop 2007 can put its BE onto sharepoint as sharepoint lists - but that is not a web app...and you don't need to be concerned about web compatibility.

it is a bit confusing - that's for sure..... If one is truly needing a web app - the free templates in the 2010 & 2013 products are the best place to start.

    hope this helps a little.

So what you are saying is that a 2007 sharepoint setup is not a true web app as you would expect to see in 2010

has anyone tried using 2007 on a sharepoint site, i am sure it must have been done many times before?
