Front end trouble on split Data base

I have split my Data base and for some reason the front end is growing in size to the point that i cannot e-mail any updated versions. I have done the basic maintenance and compact process but it does not reduce its size. It has grown from 8 meg to 38 meg. Has any body got any idea why this is happening or a solution. I have not added any major changes to the front end during this period.

Are you using graphics in your database?
How much data has been added since it was 8 meg?
Instead of trying to email the front end, zip it up, zip programs are great with compressing databases.

Thanks for that it was reduced in size drastically. The problem is that after zipping it and sending it does not link to all the tables and only links to certain tables. I dont know why it keeps growing in size any idea as most of the Data input is small. No graphics or pictures yet. I wil be addding pictures soon so I would like to know why it grows so large being that no changes to the front end are being made.

I don't know the nature of your database but basically any time you touch your data or manipulate it (run a query, update a record, etc) MS access stores a little extra space to make it run, and never releases that extra space unless you specifically run a compact on it. With some particularly complex projects I've had some databases grow over 100mb in a single day while I was testing code that ran through a large dataset. Just set up your database to compact/repair on exit and hopefully it'll mitigate some of that.
