Can't open form in Design mode

When I try to open a form during what is considered normal operation, I get the "operation cancelled" message. And, I can't open the form in Design Mode. I did just add two controls that seemed to be okay with the first test, but sinse I added the OnClick event for a combo box I can't open the form in design mode to add a stop so I can run the form's code sheet in debug mode.

Any ideas as to how to get the form open in design mode?

    Thanks,
    Bill

I tried creating a new DB and importing everything from the "offending" DB but got a "No record found" when the import of the "broken" form was encountered.
And, obviously, "Compact and Repair" didn't produce the desired results.

I could find no solution other than to retrieve a copy of the form from a daily backup and re-create the changes. I can only assume that as I was in and out of design mode on the form that I managed to break a DB record.

Thanks for giving the issue some thought,
    Bill

Not being able to open the Form in Design View, assuming that the version you're using allows this, is pretty indicative of a badly corrupted Form. I suspect that your solution was the only one available.

Thanks Linq, it did seem a bit of wishful thinking that there was some other way around the issue.
