Table Relationships don't apply to the creation of records?

    Hello all,

I seem to have a problem with table relationships. I am new to database design and development, and my understanding of table relationships is that it allows data to stay synchronised across tables. I have three tables: Clients, PreDass and PostDass. I want the database to be so that when I make a "ClientID" entry in my Clients table, it inputs the same entry into the "PreDassID" and "PostDassID" fields of their respective tables (with the rest of the fields blank). I have tried to do this by creating two one-to one relationships from ClientID to PreDassID and another from the same ClientID to PostDassID. Is there any way this is possible? I am using Windows 8 and Access 2010.

    Thanks in advance!

There is nothing built into Access to do what you are attempting. You would need to do that yourself, probably with VBA code.
