Pivot Chart using data from more than 1 table

Hi All,



I need to create a Pivot Chart using the data from more than one table.

The main table has fields including 'Job name', 'task name' and 'hours worked'.

The second table (linked to the first by 'task name') has a field 'allocated hours'.

I would like to plot the 'total time worked' against 'allocated hours' (in a stacked bar style chart), in order to monitor time usage.

Can this be done?

Did you try a query in pivot chart view?

Alternative could be a graph object on form or report.

Be aware, MS eliminates Pivot Table/Chart views in Access 2013.

Thanks June7! : ). I managed to get the results I needed using the Query Wizard and selecting the 'Summary' table rather than all data. It was only after I more or less figured it out that I actually understood what it was you were saying.

Shame about Access 2013... I like pivot table and charts. But I guess there's nothing stopping us exporting the query data to excel.
