    Slow Form Blues

    Good morning everybody.

    I have a question and hope someone can help me. When I look at the property sheet of a form I see a property called "filter" what kind of a value can I put there? I have attached a sniped image of what I'm talking about showing the empty 'filter'. I'm supposed to make an update to a very slow responding form and I'm new to Access programing. Is filter a place where I can put something like "where column1 = " & someParameter?

    Say you want the form to only show records with an 'Active' value in Status field. The filter property could be:

    [Status]="Active"

    Then set the FilterOnLoad property to Yes.
