Exclamation Help needed: different results on different computers

    Hello,

I have a problem with results in access. I have a quiet simple split database (front and backend). Backend is on a storage server, which is mapped on computers. Frontend is placed on every user PC.
Now the problem is that what is introduced from one computer can not be seen from other computers. It happens with all computers. Where may be the problem and how to solve it? Thank you in advance.
By the way, I´m using MS Access 2007

Computer 2 can not see records modified by Computer 1 until the record is saved. Once saved, Computer 2 would need to requery to see the changes.

It´s not the problem of immediate appearence of data. Even when the database on PC2 is reopened the data introduced from PC1 still doesn´t appear.

Are you certain both machines are changing the same BackEnd?

Yes, I´m sure. There is only one backend and all frontends of all PC's are targeted to the same backend.

If you open a FrontEnd while holding sown a <SHIFT> key and look directly at a linked table, you are saying the values put there by another FrontEnd are not there?

The most interesting thing is when I´m trying to open backend file with tables. When I open THE SAME backend file on different computers I see different results. So it´s not the case that frontend files are linked bad to backend files. Frontend files were distributed by copying the same file, so they are identical (well, except one thing - as the same drive was mapped under different letters I had to adjust it to point the right one). There is only one backend file on client side. I never gave copied them any other. So I discard possibility, that there may be some other backend file.
Anyway, thank you for your responses, it makes me feel I´m not alone in this
    ufff... it makes me desperate...

    Try this

Open up the front end ussing the bypasskey and create a simple table. Next export it into the known back end.

Then navigate to the back end and open it up. Does the new table exist?

If not then you are looking at two back ends not one. There must be a rouge one somewhere.

You should be using the UNC name rather than mapped drive letters. Go through the Linked Table Manager to link the BackEnd.
