I maintain an access database that handles all the tracking of products for a company. I am greatly concerned that users can circumvent the system database security by just holding down shift. I have started to look for other solutions, such as migrating the database to mssql with a winform front end. Recently I have been looking at Info path and I do like what is has to offer.
I have created a database launcher that prevents the user from using the shift key while the database starts, but my application only handles OS's Vista and 7. Presently IT is making the move to get all machines up to at least 7, this could take months for all the terminals.
Can anyone speak on making a move to either of those options or perhaps a different one?
