Populate Blank Field(s) Within An Append Query

    Hello,

I have an append query that adds records from one table to another. The destination table has a field that is not included in the starting table. Within the append query, I would like to write an expression to automatically populate the field in the destination table with specific text.

I would like to do this as a regular part of the append process.

    Can this be done?

    Thank you,

In a saved query? In the first empty field, type your text into the field argument and select the destination field. Access will add an alias, so if you type "Paul" you'll end up with Expr1: "Paul". You can change the alias to anything you want.
