    Make sub query un-editable

I have a form with a sub query. When the user makes a selection it queries all of the records in that selection.

I want to make the sub query so that the column size is not adjustable. When I adjust the save of the columns and close the form, it asks me if I want to save the query. How can I keep the user from editing the query in any way?

Use a form in Continuous View instead of query as the SourceObject for the subform container control.

make an accde file for the users to use. then whatever you change the column sizes to, that will always be the default size for the users unless you change it in your source accdb file and create a new accde (ie. compiled code) file for them to use. Note that you'll want to use linked tables when changing the users to use an accde file.

but june7's suggestion is better and easier.
