Creating a maile merge from a preferred mailing address

    Hi there,

I'm a very new user of Access, and still trying to figure this one out. I am creating a contacts database (3000+ contacts), with up to 6 addresses per contact, though most will only have around three. I'd like to find the best way to select the preferred mailing address (using a combo box??) in order to be able to regularly creating mailing labels (and letter mail merges).
Any thoughts on the easiest way to do this? There seem to be numerous solutions out there, and maybe I'll have to start learning some VBA coding? I hope not!

    Penny

Have you already considered a yes/no field in the addresses table?

I have. But I'm not sure if this is the most robust way?
Right now I have one table with all contact information (address, city, state, first name, last name, zip, phone, email.......). As I said, I have 6 separate address/phone fields. (This is a one-to-many situation ? I hope I'm on the right track.)
So...would I need to have six separate yes/no fields for each address option? I'm trying to do this in a straightforward way as it will be used for mailmerges and label making by my office manager, who is a little wary of technology.
Would I run a query to create a label report with the mailing address?

    Thank you....

Apologies -I have many more than 6 address fields, but I have six sets of address information. In total, around 60+ fields.

I misunderstood. I thought you had a normalized child table for addresses associated with contact because this is a 1 to many relationship - assuming each address can be associated with only one contact but each contact can have many addresses.
