How to navigate trough record by date entered or by key #

I have a form with about 2000+ record and some how I'm not able to navigate through records by date entered,

When I tray to navigate through records, they jump from numbers like: record # 205 to 1450 to 1900 etc. I'd like to navigate records by date entered order, using the navigation buttons.

    Please help.

Base your form on a query of the table rather than the table and sort on the date.
