    ExportWithFormatting Error

    HI

In my database i have a macro in which the last step is ExportWithFormatting.
It is a select query that i wish to export to excel but for some reason when macro reaches that step and tries to export a window pops up asking to choose the program i want to use to open the file.
No excel icon is available thus i cant choose it.
    Previously it was working fine.
And now when i look into the export folder i can see a blank icon file with no extension. The extension is actually called "file" when looked into properties

    PLease help
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Peter

In your ExportWithFormatting, do you have your 'Auto Start' set to 'Yes'?
If so - do you really WANT to open the spreadsheet once it is exported?
I have all my ExportWithFormatting steps set to Auto Start 'No'. But . . . the exports are not for me - so they just get written to the network for the various users.

I tried to do it the way advised and the table doesnt get populated and remains blank.
I wouldnt mind the spreadsheet not being opend after the export but as mentioned above when autostart set to No the table doesnt get populated.

What do you mean 'the table doesn't populated'. You said you were exporting to Excel . . .

When you run that query - do you get any data?
