What is 'registration ribbon'?
You are not seeing record number 14155 or you are not seening 14,155 records?

registration ribbon is on an access table on the left at the bottom. ıt shows number which are data on a table.Originally Posted by June7

Complete SWAG here - OP is seeing 14122 records in the Record Navigation bit at the bottom. He has an Autonumber field in the table and the highest number is 14155 because of aborted records etc...

Agree with SteveH, most likely situation. The number of records does not always agree with the max record number. Any time a record is initiated by entering data in any field, the autonumber commits the next number, even if the entry is canceled, the number has been committed and will not be reused.
