Vehicle inventory/assignment

I need to create an inventory of vehicles and assign the vehicles to drivers, but the problem I'm having is every so often, drivers will be assigned to new cars. What is the best table design to allow me to just switch driver to different vehicles.

Have a table for your vehicles
A table for your personnel

Then a junction table that shows which driver is assigned to which vehicle

If you look at this like 'checking out' an asset to a requestor, the Lending Library database template might work for you.
