Exclamation There is an error appeared while opening database file.

I was working on a database file from last couple of months. Last month I found minor corruption in the file, so I imported all the data into a new database file. The file became reusable. The problem starts now: day before yesterday when I opened it to make some modification I got this: "Microsoft jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time." How could it be possible? I’m the one and only user of this database. Is there anyone who can tell me what’s going on here?

Log out of the database, and in Windows Explorer, browse to the location where this database reside. Do you see a related database lock? This would have the exact same name as your database, except it would have an extension of .laccdb, or .ldb.

If you see this, it means that either someone is currently in the database, or the database was shut down improperly at some point and the lock was never realized (maybe a computer or database crashed caused this). Try deleting this database lock. If you cannot delete it, you may need to try to reboot your computer to clear it out.

There was nothing like that JoeM or maybe I didn't understand. Could you explain it briefly?
And xanderilization I have already used that what you suggested over there (inbuilt repair utility) and I don't have any backup. And one more thing, I'm getting this error but can't open my database file. What you guys think, what's wrong here?

What are you talking about? Could you explain it? I really didn't understand!

Its pretty straightforward. Just try and do what I said.
    - Make sure you are out of the database.
    - See if there is an accompanying locking file (when browsing to the driectory where the database exists in Windows Explorer).
    - If you see a locking file, try to delete it.

You should really make a back up of both the Frond End and the Back End BEFORE doing anything else.

Well the tool was certainly the best one. Now the file is opening without any error. And thanks to SysInfoTools MS Access database recovery who made it possible.
    Regards to all.....!
    Cheers....

Have you made a back up of both Front End and Back End.

Don't forget to do the Back End on a Regular Basis and the Front End much more often when developing.
