    Automatically update tables

    Hi There,
I have a database that has several tables e.g. (user, user hardware, user software). The user hardware and software tables have several entries against each user. I would like to set it up, so if i update the user table, it automatically updates the other tables, but i can't seem to get it to work because the hardware and software tables have several entries against them. what can i use as a unique field between the 3 tables that would let me do this?

    Thanks for your help

Typically there would be nothing to update, as the fields wouldn't contain the same fields, other than a key field to link them. In your case, I'd expect a "UserID" field, something that uniquely identified each user.
