    2010 Runtime version

I've created a DB for a customer, and now I need to install on their computer using the 2010 Run time version. Here's what I've done
    1. Created DB in Access 2010 using accdb format
    2. Downloaded the 64 bit version of Access runtime
    3. To create the package, Within Access, Save and Publish, Package solution, within pre-installation requirements, selected option that Access runtime is already installed
    4. Installed the run time version on client machine
    5. Instlled the DB on the client machine using the package created.
    6. No errors occurred during either installation
    7. I open the DB. My DB opens to a form that is a menu. At this time I have 4 command buttons, when I click on any button, I receive error messages, and then the DB closes.
    8. Here are the most common error messages:
Your Microsoft Access database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file 'MPNA83.tlb' version 8.3.
Your Microsoft Access database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file 'EXCEL.EXE' version 1.7.

The help for this error message states that a reference is attempted to be used. Within the DB, the following references are being used:
    Visual Basic for Applications
    Microsoft Access 14.0 Object Library
    OLE Automation
Microsoft Office 14.0 Access database engine
Microsoft MapPoint 18.0 Object Library(North America)
Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1 Library
    Microsoft Excel 14.0 Object Library

On the client machine I'm attempting to run this DB, neither Excel or MapPoint has been installed.

The easiest thing to do is ask the client to purchase Access, but I thought I'd try this first. Thank you in advance for your help!!

Well, it wouldn't help for the client to buy the full version of Access. Those references are saying that your database requires Excel and MapPoint, so either those need to be installed or your database needs to be modified to not require them.

So in my testing, these errors are happening because the references that are within the DB, are not installed on the client machine. These are nothing related to the run time version. If I installed Access on the machine, without having Excel or MapPoint installed, I would receive the same error messages?

Now you've got it. In reality, you already have installed Access on the machine. The runtime version is the same basic program without the design functionality. It can only "run" databases, it can't design them.
