Employee Training Records Database

Hello,



I'm hoping someone can help please. I'm trying to create a database with employees training records.

As I'm knew to access i'm officially starting from scratch. Im looking for a database which can hold each employees details, Name, Service, Department, Job Title, Area and approved spend. Each person is assessed at a different level and then assessed on different skill elements at that level, i would like to have tabs for each skill element and which which courses have been attended relating to that level.

Any info would be much appreciated.

I think once you understand the basics of how to create tables in Access and how the data in those tables is organized - you will be off to a really good start.
Read up on that site . . . and also Google 'database normalization' . . . and 'first normal form'. That will give you a very good basic idea of how to go about creating your tables.
Once the tables are created correctly - you will have a very good foundation on which to build your application . . .
