    VLookup? in Access 2010

    Hi

Is there a way in a table to enter, for a example, a code in 1 column and for the column next to it to "look up" the code and automatically populate it? In Excel i would simply use a look up but being new to Access, this has thrown me for a loop.

I have no working model at the moment unfortuantely.

    Thanks for your help.

You need to read up on data normalisation. I suggest here

This is normally accomplished using a join query. I suggest reading here ( I have linked the section on joins, but I strongly suggest reading the entire SQL section
