I repeat: the Field Status is a field of Projects table and is not dependent on and has nothing to do with the status of Tasks (and for our topic this is not relevant; previously I just mentioned it because you asked the function of the database application)

Ok, I hear what you're saying regarding status. If you're convinced that Task status is NOT relevant, then please provide the following info so I can try to set up a test(later today).

Please list the relevant tables ( People, Project, Task...) and their fields.
A jpg of the relevant tables and relationships.

When I mentioned the function of the database application, I was really asking -- if you had to tell someone in the lineup at McDonald's what the purpose of your database is -- what would you say to someone totally unfamiliar with database and or your organization?

I am helping someone with a basement remodel....

As per #17 Please post a jpg of the relevant tables and relationships.
And as per the last line in my posts - not every one has acc2007 -- I have 2003 and can work with mdb format.

Or post a copy of your accdb and perhaps someone with Acc2007 can help.
