    Change the layout of the data in my query


    Hello just a simple question, can anyone tell me how I change the layout in a query??

    I would like my quatities centred and my figures set to right justification and Access wont let me!!

    Most of us don't let users into tables or queries anyway. Present the query data in a form or report and do your formatting there.

    Then tell the boss they will have virtually no control over formatting or what the user does while using the query.

    Am I best to create a report for him do you think? Can I change the headings on a report to suit?

    That is what I would do. You have a lot more control there. You can make the headings anything you want.

    Ok, cool, I set one up yesterday but I have just one more question, how do I create filters on a report?

    The two common methods are basing the report on a parameter query and this technique:
