calculating age (years and months) from birthdate

Hello, I am trying to build school database in which I would like to calculate the student's age from their date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy). none of the suggestions I found on google yielded the desired outcome of age in years and months. could anyone help me with this?? thanks, ido
